Veedersburg, Ind. -- Mrs. Julia Ellen Fletcher, 83, of 407 S. Main, Veedersburg, died at 7:15 a.m. today (Oct. 3, 1967) in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville where she had been a patient six weeks. She was a life resident of Veedersburg. Born Feb. 7, 1884, in Veedersburg, she was a daughter of Frank and Margaret Taylor Lang. She was married Aug. 15, 1903, in Veedersburg to Clinton Fletcher who preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, Russell Fletcher of Danville, Ill., and a brother, Norris Lang of Springfield, Ill. She also was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Mrs. Fletcher was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Veedersburg. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Burial will be in Bonebrake Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday.  --typed by Walt W

VEEDERSBURG -- Mrs. Julia Ellen Fletcher, 83-year-old life resident of this community, died Tuesday morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient six weeks. A daughter of Frank and Margaret Taylor Lang, she was born Feb. 7, 1884. She married Clinton Fletcher on Aug. 15, 1903. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Fletcher was a member of the Veedersburg EUB Church. She lived at 407 S. Main St. Survivors include a son, Russell Fletcher of Danville, Ill., and a brother, Norris Lang of Greenfield. Two brothers and a sister are deceased. Funeral services are announced for 1 p.m. Thursday at Fishero Funeral Home. Interment will be in Bonebrake Cemetery.
